This is a small program that will give you your
Standard host name, Network host name, and your Internet protocol address
(ip address). It will only give you your Network host name while you
are connected to the internet cause that is what you need to connect. Getting it to work: either double click it but if that doesn't work then...Enter the MS-DOS Prompt located in your program folder on the start menu. Type in CD (for change directory) and then the path to the folder it is in Type DIR and then run it (the screen won't disapper) EXAMPLE: Enter MS-DOS type cd c:\downloads\hostinfo or folder it is in Hit <Enter> next line type dir hit <Enter> next line type hostinfo hit <Enter> PRESTO, you have it! hope that explained it. |
